Christmas Day

Hey everyone how are you doing howas was your Christmas day and Chriristmas eve i hope all went well and that it was a good time.  What did everyone get tell me all that went on.  Well so we got a little time to email today which was sweet so i just wanted to say Merry Christmas and thanks for you guys and all your love and support you guys are the best.  I love you all so much.  Thanks for the packages by the way they wer very much appreciated I love the boots mom thanks so much for getting all that for me, but ya the boots fit really well.  Also tell grandma and grandpa thanks for the scarf now I wont be freezing down in Argentina hopefully hahah.  Also tell Emily thanks so much for her present and for the tie and skittles I love it.  And tell her that I remember who taught me how to tie a tie.  So christmas here has been sweet here.  We had sacrament meeting with then entire mtc.  And we had David a Bednar come and speak to us and he had sacrament with us.  LAst night we had a little christmas nativity skit coming from luke chapters 1 through 3.  Then we watched Charles Dickons a Christmas Carol it was good times.  And then we had a little christmas party in the residence halls with everyone on our floor haha it was way fun and man to the latinos know who to party haha.  It was great.  But ya and I got an mtc haircut the other day and man was it awful so i had to fix wit with my shaver last night.  Which turned into a shaving of heads party hahaha. And also mom I thought you should know I keep my neck cleanly shaven and i have been cleaning my ears haha so that is good.  But man I don't even know what to say except for you guys are awesome, you're the best family anyone could ask fro.  I love you all so much.  Also thank Bishop Pugs and the ward for me and all the support they have given and for the stockings that were sent to everyone in my district.  They were very much appreciated.  Everyone loved them.  It was awesome. 

 

So i have a huge favor to ask you know that blue tie that all of my friends and I have worn well I don't remember if i signed it or not so could you get it from Aaron and check for me to see if I signed it, and if not send it to me and I will send it back.  That would be great.  But ya thanks for everythying.  Mom I have a few questions how do you clean the razors when you're done with them I just cleaned off all the hair and what not and the guards I just washed of in water but could you just give me like the steps of how to clean them.  Also dad with my face shaver what did you do to clean it because I forgot so if you could just send me intruction on that, that would also be great.  Also could you send like a family album of our family for me like pictures of us and me and just whatever.  That would be great to use as a visual aid for the people I am going to be teaching.  So that would be cool if you could do that if you have time.  Also dad i got the insurance thing looked at so when i send home my sim card for my camera and some letters it will be in there and you have to fill it out and then we should be good to go.  But ya so I'll send you that and if there is anything you need slash want that I can send let me know and i'll send it back.  And also a good camel back pack would be nice if you have found one haha Iove you and thanks!

 

So ya everything is going really good here I can't believe in 2 weeks i'm out of here it's kind of crazy.  But i'm execited.  The mtec is awesome and the mission is awesome I love it so much there is nothing in the world like it.  I would reccomend that anyone is able and of age to serve a msission I have learned in a very short amount of time so much about life and the Savior and Gods plan for each and every single one of us.  One thing that i have learned that i have not always applied but wish I would have is that we need to align our will with Gods plan for us and his will.  I can't believe how much I have matured and grown in so little amount of time.  I can only see how the mission lays the foundaition for the rest of your life.  It is awesome.  But ya I love this work and I love the Savior and all that he did for me I have personally felt of his love and mercy, and i Know that with out a doubt in my mind that we can all become clean through his atonement if we exercise faith use it and come unto him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit.  He loves us all so much and God has a person al plan for each one of us and we need to follow that plan.  I know that this church is true and that this is the only way to be happy in this life and not just happy but truly happy feel true joy and love.  And from the words of Elder Bednar today it is not enough to just have a testimony we have to be truly coinverted and come unto christ and try to become more like him every day through faith and repentance. 

 

Well I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and that I love you all thanks for all the support  I hope you all are doing well.  Tell me how everything is going and all the happneings .  Tell me how christmas went and what everyone got and Dad a sports update would be nice haha.  Well I love you all so so much you guys don't even know you're the best.  Mckenna Lindsey I love you.  Mom I love you tons . and dad I love you tons.  I hope all is well with the fam and  everyone else keep me posted on everyone else.  Also aunt Glenna I hope she is doing well and uncle david.  You gusy are all in my prayers you are the best I love you all and I'll talk to you on thursday.    Have a merry christmas and remember the true reason for the season.  I love you all!

Merry Christmas

Hey yall how is it going Merry Christmas I will write you another letter christmas day not an email but they are giving us time to write a letter that day.  So how is everything going it sounds like everything is pretty busy back at home with work and getting ready for christmas.  But I hope you are all having a good time.  Thanks for all the letters and packages, I love receiving them.  Mom said you were sending a package friday so I don't think I'll get till monday if you do that but I don't know maybe ask the post mart people because I don't know the whole deal on packages and letters coming in on the 23rd.  Anyway I hope all is well and that you are doing good.

 

Answering Questions

So I got all the materials I need here they just gave me scriptures and pmg in spanish and then a bunch of spanish tool books.  As well as fundamentals, which are basically the fundamentals of teaching and teaching more effectively to help people come unto christ.  It is way cool I like it a lot it just really focuses on helping them understand the importance of church attendance, scripture reading, praying, and then teaching them how to recognize the spirit when they feel it.  It's really good.  They also gave us a missionary health exercise book haha but I don't use it.  But so ya I'm all good on books.  For Christmas the schedule is really chill for the most part we got breakfast then like free time or something. Then at 10 we have sacrament meeting with the entire mtc with a General Authority which will be awesome I can't wait and that will be until 12 and then we have lunch til 1 30 then another devotional, then temple walk and district meeting, then more free time and dinner.  Then another short devotional, then a movie I don't know which one of what general authorities are coming but it should be awesome I can't wait.  Also Christmas eve we have a devotional and then a movie after so that should be fun I'm really excited.  Sorry I keep forgetting about that receipt I'll do it today.  And yes I got the usb and I'll send it home with some letters that I need you to give to people and ya so you'll receive that sometime next week.  But as for my emails you can just put it up on my facebook account.  I think you know my email and password If you don't know it by now haha well I don't know what to tell you.  But ya put it up and ask if anyone wants to receive the emails and then if they put there email adress write it down and put it on the list.  I don't really care who receives them.

 

So all is well everything is going great the spanish is coming along sort of haha no I have improved but then I think crap I only have 2 and half weeks left here and then I'm out in the field and I feel like I know nothing haha but It will all be good.  But ya everything is good I love it here.  I love my district and my zone.  Dad do you remember Taylor Samuelen from soccer and basketball in 8th grade.  Well he just got in yesterday and he is in my zone how cool is that.  Remember his nickname is chip.  Well ya so that was fun to see him.  Uhm I'm trying to think of what to tell you but so much goes on that I can't remember.  Uhm we have a progressing investigator and that is when our teacher acts as an Investigator he had in the past.  So that is fun one of them dropped us hahah but that was because he had to go on vacation and in reality the real investigator dropped him.  But he did get baptized later with his entire family which is cool.  But our other one is sweet we're so close to baptism fake baptism of course.  But he has drug issues so we're trying to help him with that.  Oh and now we get to be investigators now and other campanionships get to teach us and we're supposed to be someone we know who is in active or a non member.  I don't know who to be yet but i'll figure it out but it is fun to do that.

 

Mom thanks for the letter I know your busy with work and stuff.  I'm glad your busy that is good haha.  But that is cool with the hair that you kind of get to do them a last service before they leave this world.  But i bet is kind of creepy being around all those coffins and what not haha, but i'm sure it's cool experience.  I hope all is well with you and don't stress to much about work and christmas enjoy it.  Mom also keep me updated with work and all that is going on and any funny stories with whatever.  Mom love you tons and thanks for all the support and help and packages

 

Dad thanks for your letters thanks for all the sports updates.  Can't believe byu lost but it sounds like they got a good team, that carlino guy sounds baller.  That is cool.  Keep the tebow updates coming I love it.  At least the pats beat them though so that is good.  But ya thanks for all that How is work by the way.  You still working out and keeping fit.  Because when I get home in 2 years you better look out I'm going to be huge.  I work out more here then I did when I had all that free time at home it is great.  But ya just keep me updated on all.  Love you tons  thanks for the letters and support.

 

Mckenna and Lindsey thanks for writing me I was just telling everyone in my district at how suprised I am that you guys write me as much as you do ahha.  Just kidding I love it.  It sounds like you two are doing good.  Help mom and dad out around the house and be nice to each other.  Linds keep the orem High basketball updates coming I can't believe they beat lone peake they got Hawz and Emerys little brothers and they're unreal.  That is cool I hope they can take state this year.  Enjoy high school.  I hope the dance was fun with D sop.  Mckenna it sounds like you're having good times with your  friends and all your little creative projects that you do. That is fun keep it up.  Maybe you can make a career out of your creativity in the future how cool would that be.  Oh keep supplying pugs and the boys with food tell them all hi for me and that I love them ahah sometimes nah jk all the time.  But I love you two very much and thanks for the support

Also can you send some certain dry haha that would be great and maybe some wool socks for the freezingness in Argentina.  But other then that I think I'm good other then what I said in other emails.

Good Morning 12/15

Hey so everything here is going great.  How is everything going back home I hope all is well.  You guys getting all ready for christmas. Just think after this one I only have one more left haha!  But it sounds like everything is going good.  Angel tree that is good times can't wait to do that again and all the other great traditions.  Got anything else planned?   Anything else exciting happening I really appreciate all the letters and packages and what not It's very nice to get something ha.  

So here is the time for things I need.  Mom haha as for boots mom there are these shoes that an elder in my district got for his mission. He got them at the missionary mall.  They're called propet.  They're super nice and they look like there really sweet shoes.  I am a size 9 1/2 so what do you think about that. Also a backpack a nice like black camel back one is what vic recommended so if you could keep your eye out for one of those.  Also I need these 3 in 1 laundry things that are for the wash it's called purex complete laundry sheets and they're awesome but I have been using my companions and I owe him so if you could send some of those pronto that would be great.

To answer bishops question and also thank him for the Utah stinking letter in basketball ahah.  My comp is a Ute fan so it was kind of fun telling him that they're the worse div 1 team in the nation ha.  But There are 6 elders.  There is me Elder Hillyard, (my comp)  Elders Hopkins, Barton, Rugg, and Peacock.  There all great guys. Then there are 3 hermanas.  There is Hermana Wright, Alberts, and Kapp.  They are all the best our district is awesome I love them so much and I am so blessed to be here with all them.  But ya no one in my district is going to my mission.  Up until a few days ago I had not met a single person here in the Mtc going to Neuquen.  But I found like 2 whole districts that are going the same time as me It was great i was very pleased and happy to find that I wasn't the only human being on the world going to Neuquen.  They all seem sweet but they're all in beginning spanish so ya.  But ya every one in my district is going somewhere else.  Not one person in my district is going to the same mission as another. 
So the Argentine consulut came the other day.  So I think all the visa stuff should be solitified I should be good on it.  Which is sweet.  He told us a little bit about Argentina and I can't wait to get down there it's going to be awesome. 

As for the spanish it is coming along.  I think i'm improving I can understand it pretty good, but as for speaking it I'm not as good, but I know it'll come as long as I keep working hard.

There are a couple people here I know I saw mckennas friend older brother Bryant and I talked to him for a bit he is doing good.  There are a few other kids that were here but have left.  Spencer Moore is here and another kid from our stake Tj Rowley.  But others might have come in yesterday I do not know. 

As for getting up early to work out heck no ahha.  I need all the sleep I can get.  We usually work out after gym because we have time to get ready and stuff so that's usually our workout time.  And then at night we do push ups and stuff.  I've been doing about 150 to 200 push ups a day.  So i like to think that I am getting huge.  I have gained 10 pounds since I got here.  I like to think that is mostly muscle.  But i wouldn't be suprised if it is from the food.  But we do ab ripper x every other day and a upperbody work out every other day.  Another cool thing that just built a new work out gym and they're going to start doing p 90x classes ballin.  So that should be sweet.  And I don't have my travel plans yet but I'll get them in the next couple of weeks.  And as for the shot i'm going to go get it taken care of today.

So things here are sweet as always, it's unreal how much you learn.  I can't wait to get out into the field but at the same time I don't want to leave because I don't feel ready, and I love the mtc it is awesome here there is just the strongest spirit. 

Elaine S Dalton the general young womens president came the other day she gave an awesome talk about spiritual gifts and the atonement and Jesus.  It was awesome.  Read D and c 46 it talks about spiritual gifts it was way sweet, seek ye the best gifts.  Also lately here we have been focusing on how we need to see the people we teach as Jesus would, it is hard to develop but charity that is the key to this work.  When you think about it charity is missionary work. It is really cool so hopefully i can develop that attribute quick of being able to see everybody as Christ does. 

Well I love it here and the gospel and the privilige i have to serve and represent the lord for 2 years.  I can't believe how fast time flies here It is crazy and in only 6 weeks I've matured more then i have in 19 years haha.  You just learn so much about yourself and the gospel and people and just how to be better.  It's unreal it is way sweet though.  I love it here and the mission.  I can't believe dan and allison are getting married that was the best news ever.  And i will not be one of those missionaries who gets married fast.  Also tell grandpa to look out for a spanish missionary heading to boston named elder schwazy.  He is a baller and just left for there yesterday.  I love you all so much and all you're support and all the support from the ward tell them thanks for everything.  You guys are the best I can't wait to hear back from you love you all so much talk to you in a week or maybe I'll write another letter I don't know haha peace love ya.

Good Morning 12/8

Hey yall how is it going?  So anything new going on it sounds like everyone is doing well.  Glad to hear Brother B is out of the hospital, that sounded a little scarry.  Aunt Glenna I hope she is doing well, at least she is in disneyland enjoying herself that should be a good time.  So I hope all goes well there.

 

So things are going great here.  As always I love it.  We work a lot and learn a lot.  And you know how i said I just wish I could skip the mtc and go out to the field well that is not the case anymore haha.  I now realize how far I am from knowing the language and everything I feel like a I need another couple months in here, but all well the best way to learn is to just jump into it.  But ya I can't believe i only have a month more in the mtc, I didn't believe it when they say time goes fast, but now I do.  Time is so weird, the days are like the longest thing ever.  But then all of a sudden a week passes by and your like wo where did that week go.  So I hope I'm getting the language down it's hard to see your own improvements.  But our teacher says we have improved a ton.

 

So dad to answer your questions.  Since i'm the District Leader now I pick up the mail everyday at lunch and at dinner.  That's one of our jobs.  So the mail comes anywhere before lunch and before dinner.  The place closes at 6 or so so ya I do that daily.  And when I say I want the missionary packet I mean just like the adress of my mission and all that information, so if you could just send that to me that would be great.  Just like all the adresses and numbers that it has in there.  Mom to answer your questions I don't really do anything different as a District leader we have like leadership meetings every tuesday and sunday.  I pick up the mail, and then I interview everyone to make sure there doing good.  And then just be an example and all that good stuff.  As for the boots, Elder Hopkins has these boots, that he got from missionary mall, i'll write a letter later and tell you exactly where they are and what they are they are really nice boots.  So don't send a bunch yet, I'll tell you more later. And also if you could send a camel back backpack, vic said that would be a great thing to have.  Just one that is black whatever you could find that could hold some stuff.  Also you can send treats if you want again haha not a lot just something little, haha that would be great.  And I figured out the camera a little bit I'm going to read through the manual today. 

 

Tell the ward thanks for the package that was very unexpected but very nice I loved it.  I hope everyone is doing well so send my best wishes to everyone.  And you all are in my prayers.

 

So this last week a lot goes on and I can't remember much.  We had class and more class and more study time and all that good stuff.  So fast sunday was cool we had fast and testimony meeting then a mission conference which is kind of like stake conference.  Then we just went on with our normal day.  We ate dinner at 5 and then for our devotional  we watched the first presidency christmas devotional which was cool.  So everyweek we do trc and it's awesome we have some sort of fundamental were working on and we go and teach random people who volunteer.  It is great the people usually teach us more then we teach them haha, because all of the volunteers are mostly returned missionaries ha it's great.  But this weeks fundamental was revelation through the book of mormon and that is something that is huge as long as revelation through prayer, those are things really need to focus on with our investigators, so they can know how to recognize the spirit and come to know that it's true.  We also have investigators that we teach, there our teachers but they role play as an investigator. It's good times we don't know much spanish so we have some funny moments.  But the spirit is the teacher, so if we have a plan and try our best and have the spirit with us the lord we'll make up the difference it is really cool.  One of our investigators we asked him to read Mosiah 24.  Which is when Alma and his people are being perseguted ha i don't know how to spell that word.  But they are being perseguted by Amulon and then the lord delivers them.  So when we were following up we asked him if he understood it and what he thought.  He was like so Is amulon perseguting his wife Alma haha and this is all in spanish and we were just like what no. Alma is a prophet. And he was like there are girl prophets haha.  No it was super funny.  I love it.  So on tuesday we had Elder Snow of the presidency of the 70 he gave a sweet talk, it was on mission work to inactive memebers.  He was just saying how focusing on them is just as important as those who haven't had a chance to receive the gospel.  And it was just how about we need to bring the lost sheep back into the fold and I loved it. My challenge for you guys is to read Luke 15.  Those are all the parables of lost sheep coming back to the fold.  It is really cool.

So everything is going great here I love it I love my district and my zone and I just love being around them everyone is so chill and we have such a good time together but we also work hard which is really good.  I thought everyone just works hard here, but apparently there a lot of problems that i don't know about.  So it is a great blessing to have such a wonderful hard working district.  So everyone in our zone is leaving within the next couple of weeks which stinks because I love them all so much.  It's amazing how close you get with the people here in such a little amount of time.  But ya so since that is occuring we had some changes.  I got called to be District leader which is cool.  And then Elder Hopkins and Barton my other roomates are the new zone leaders which is sweet.  So the next few weeks we'll be continually getting a new shipment of recruits which will be fun.  We got some new missionaries yesterday they seem like cool guys, but i haven't really got to know them yet.

 

So things are going great here.  I love it so much you work way hard and have fun at the same time.  There is such an amazing spirit here, it's hard to describe in words.  All I can say is it is just something you have to experience for yourself.  I whish everyone could experience this because there is nothing like it in the world it really is the coolest thing.  So thanksgiving here was good we didn't have a p day last week which kind of stunk but it's all good because thanksgiving was sweet.  We had Russel M Nelson come and he gave a sweet talk I can't remember about what and I don't have my notes with me darn I'll talk about it next week.  Then we did like a humanitarian service project, which was way fun we were putting one item in a baggy and passing it along.  While singing songs so we had like 1000 missionaries singing and working in the lunch room it was awesome.  Then we had thanksgiving dinner,  it wasn't as good as home but it was pretty dec.  The food here isn't bad but it's not great, but i adjust well because all i ate was hot pockets at home haha.  Then at night we watched 17 miracles what a great movie.  I would recommend watching it.  So it was a great day.  But it is so great here I love it I'm running out of time.  But yesterday our district had such a strong spiritual experience we role played as people from our life and Hmna wright and Elder hopkins were the investigators as there people and our teacher taught as the missionary.  It was so cool it felt like the investigators that they were being were actually there.  They both said that they felt like they were there investigators.  We were teaching how to receive prayer through revelation.  But he taught the lesson and it was just so strong and he was like if God was sitting here right now and told you the church was true would you join the church.  They said yes and then they prayed.  Hmna Wright prayed and it was like she was her actual investigator, she began to cry and man the spirit was so thick you could cut through it with a knife.  I love it.  Those are the types of experies you can't get anywhere else.  Everyday here something new happens and it's way cool because everyone is going through the same thing for the same cause.  I love you all and this gospel I wish you all the best love you.

So things are going great here.  I love it so much you work way hard and have fun at the same time.  There is such an amazing spirit here, it's hard to describe in words.  All I can say is it is just something you have to experience for yourself.  I whish everyone could experience this because there is nothing like it in the world it really is the coolest thing.  So thanksgiving here was good we didn't have a p day last week which kind of stunk but it's all good because thanksgiving was sweet.  We had Russel M Nelson come and he gave a sweet talk I can't remember about what and I don't have my notes with me darn I'll talk about it next week.  Then we did like a humanitarian service project, which was way fun we were putting one item in a baggy and passing it along.  While singing songs so we had like 1000 missionaries singing and working in the lunch room it was awesome.  Then we had thanksgiving dinner,  it wasn't as good as home but it was pretty dec.  The food here isn't bad but it's not great, but i adjust well because all i ate was hot pockets at home haha.  Then at night we watched 17 miracles what a great movie.  I would recommend watching it.  So it was a great day.  But it is so great here I love it I'm running out of time.  But yesterday our district had such a strong spiritual experience we role played as people from our life and Hmna wright and Elder hopkins were the investigators as there people and our teacher taught as the missionary.  It was so cool it felt like the investigators that they were being were actually there.  They both said that they felt like they were there investigators.  We were teaching how to receive prayer through revelation.  But he taught the lesson and it was just so strong and he was like if God was sitting here right now and told you the church was true would you join the church.  They said yes and then they prayed.  Hmna Wright prayed and it was like she was her actual investigator, she began to cry and man the spirit was so thick you could cut through it with a knife.  I love it.  Those are the types of experies you can't get anywhere else.  Everyday here something new happens and it's way cool because everyone is going through the same thing for the same cause.  I love you all and this gospel I wish you all the best love you

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey yall Happy Thanksgiving.  So this last week has been great I've been learning a ton about everything and it's been pretty good times.  So i saw whit I probably already told you that but she is doing great.  I'm sorry to hear about aunt Glenna and the Bushnells, both are in my prayers as are all of you guys.  So i'm trying to think of what has happened in the last week but I don't even remember what happened yesterday haha.  You learn so much everyday that by the end of it your brain is like mush but it is a good thing.  Thanks for all the letters and packages, although maybe could you hold off on the food I'm kind of full and don't know how I'm going to be able to finish it all haha.  Plus I've been putting on some poundage I've gained like 4 pounds.  It's not good, so we'll see how that goes, hopefully I can lose it.

Dad if only you got up a little later I would have been up as well. As i said in my letter in my zone we get up at the crack of 5 for laundry because that way we don't have to be jammed packed with everyone later on in the day.  Then we go to the temple at 9 and we're out and done by 11.  Then we have like 7 hours of study and personal time which is way nice.  So we play like pig with our zone in our residence hall it's always great times.  But ya today is thanksgiving and it sounds like a pretty good day, except we don't get a p day this week, but it's all good.  So we got up early to do our laundry and then the rest of the day is all planed out with like a service project turkey dinner and devotionals.  I'm hoping we get another general authority today that would be sweet.  Earlier in the week we had Elder D Todd Christoferson come to speak to us and man was it awesome.  When he first walked in I did not recognize him but we all stood and were singing I know that my reedeemer lives.  And man it was awesome I thought the Prophet was about to walk in it was so cool.  You could feel the spirit so strong testifying that he is called of God.  He gave a sweet talk.  So apparently he was In Salta Argentina two weeks ago where vic is and he spoke to them.  Vic told me about it in his letter that he wrote.  Little did he know that he would come and speak to us two weeks later ha it was awesome. He gave a great talk about how we are companions with the apostles in serving the lord.  And how it is a privilidge not a sacrifice to be on a mission.  That we get to witness all the things we witness walk with the lord and be so close to him and to see all the miracles.  That after our mission we think we should receive all the blessings but really we are more in debt to him after our missions then we were before it was way awesome.  I know that this is the lords work and I'm so excited I get to be an instruments in his hands.  But ya so we're hoping for two in one week how sick would that be.

 

So it sounds like things at home are great.  I love you all so much.  Once again thanks for everything.  The support is great you're all in my prayers.  Today is thanksgiving aw good times.  Let me know how it all goes.  Also did you get all my letters and give them to everybody that I said to give them to.  Also tell Grandma and Grandpa Varney thanks for the treats they were much appreciated.  Today I'll write you a letter with some other letters to vic and ty.  Maybe you could type them up and send them to there emails that would be good.  If it's not to much trouble that is.  Well everything here is great.  I love it.  It's tough work but you learn a bunch and we still have a bunch of good times.  Our district is so chill and same with our zone but we all work way hard which is good.  I can't think of anything else that I need at the moment but if I do I'll let you know.  Oh actually mom for my other suit that I have had since high school.  Where are the actual pants to that suit.  Did you switch out the pants of that suit with the new pants from missionary mall.  If so let me know.   But ya if there is anything else you want to know let me know.  I love you all so much.  Oh and by the way no one in my zone district is going to my mission.  We're all going to different missions.  And all the teachers most of them have never heard of it.  But vic said to by quality waterproof boots in the states.  And also you know the camel back that I lost he said to bring that and that it would be nice to have.  So i don't know what you want to do with that info we'll have to communicate through letters.  Oh also the spanish is coming I don't notice it really but apparently it's improved a lot, i know that i could not do it with out the lord. But it is coming it is just a matter of time.  But ya things are great.  Gym is awesome basketball is always fun and the games get pretty intense which is fun, not to intense but just intense enough haha.  Oh by the way who is receiving my letters and do you need my email adress and passwords for anything if so let me know.  That would be great.  Well tell all the fam hi for me at thanksgiving dinner, you're all in my prayers and I love you all so much.  Tell linds and Mckenna Thanks for the letters I'll try and personally write them back today if I have time.  Also tell the woolley's and the Bodines thanks.  I'll try and write them back as well when I get time.  Also dad can you tell me what's going on in college football with your sports updates haha, that would be great.  Seriously thanks for everything and all the support I love you all so much.  I love this gospel and the work, it's only going to get better from here.  I got a bunch of notes on the Christofferson talk so if you want to know more about that I'll tell you as well.  Well anyway have a great Thanksgving tell everyone Hi and that I love them.  And I love you guys as well.  Until next time peace.  Oh and dad "A platypus?  Perry the platypus haha oh good times never gets old I love it." Hey yall how is it going?  So i made it through the first week in the mtc. phew haha.  Those first few days were kind of a struggle but now things are getting a lot better, I'm really starting to love it here.  I just had to get into the swing of things.  Thanks for the package and the letters they were all very much appreciated.  I love the peanut butter cup cookies.  Mom those were the things I was talking about for my farewell, so we can have them at my homecoming in two years K haha? So my district is awesome we're all way chill, and everybody works hard.  We just barelyl met our teacher yesterday, because he has been sick, so we have had like 6 different teachers up until yesterday.  But now we got one so that should be good.  But it was kind of fun getting a bunch of different perspectives when they were helping us.  The language is coming a long sort of haha, I've already imprvoed light years, but it's not even close where it needs to be, but all is well it'll get there.  I got the cookies from the bodines, those were very good, I love those bill cookies ha, and Jasons decorating was good I guess haha.  So tell them thanks, I'll write them a letter. 

Mom thanks for sending the thank you cards haha.  I'll try and get those done today when I have time.  But the package was great I loved the letters from you all.  It sounds like you are all doing good, which is good news.  I'm trying to remember what I was going to say, but it's hard, because all day everyday, it's like being hit by a tsunami of information, so i forget some things.  Gym here is way fun I usually play ball, but there is volleyball, you can run or work out up stairs, you can play four square, and if the field is open you can play soccer softball, and volleyball out there.  But it's freezing so we don't go out there.  Sunday's here are great you learn a lot, but it's very relaxing, you get to go on the temple walk which is always a nice cool down after all the studying, and you get a lot of personal study time that day which is always nice.  It's honestly amazing how much you learn here, it's hard to explain.

So the food is pretty good I wouldn't say it's great, but it is pretty good.  It doesn't have as big as selection as the cannon center but it is kind of the same idea.  I usually don't eat a ton, I just get one meal and that is it.  But i haven't got the runs yet which is good haha.  Although this week I have come down with a cold which stinks, so mom if you could send some more of those nite time and day time cold pills that would be great.  And yes I got shots i think i got the typhoid and the penasilin shot.  And it cost about a 100. I don't know if insurance will cover it or not, and I asked about the pill but they did not give it to me.  But it is to late now because the shot is already in me.  The doorm rooms or the residence halls are like a normal dorm room, there are four bunks, two desks and then like a mini individual closet to put all the clothes.  There pretty nice but we don't spend much time there.  Where we spend all our time is cooped up in a classroom, I'd say on average we're there about 8 hours a day, studying having class, teaching learning the language, whatever it might be we're there.  Linds to answer your question though about all the guys in my doorms.  There all way tight we all get a long great, but when i get that usb from spenc I'll send some pictures of everything and everyone, then you can decide for yourself how good looking they are haha (they're not that good looking haha).  

A couple of things mom you know that missionary journal on my desk with the brown spine. Could you look in it and maybe fill out the first few pieces of information that I don't know and then send it to me.  Also dad a key chain for the oil would be way nice so if that could be sent that would be great.  I hope i answered all the questions I can't really remember at the moment.  Oo we had two devtionals, one on sunday and on tuesday these happen weekly.  The first was Ian R Heaston he is like the coordinator for the missionaries, and the mtc.  He figures out all the flying situations, how much food we need at the mtc and all that stuff.  He talked about tithing, and wow how little did I know, it plays such a role in our faithfulness and keeping investigators active after baptism.  The next was Tad R. Mcallister from the corumn of the 70.  He talked about apostacy, and wow how little did I know, but i loved learning about that is what i'm focusing my study on the next couple of days.  Well I hope I answered all your questions if not let me know.  If you write please write through dear elder.  Also mom can you send me everyones adress thanks.  I love you all so much you guys are the best seriously thanks for all the support.  I'll write you another letter today as well.  The gospel is the best it brings so much joy into my life and others.  I love the work, and I love being a missionary.  Love you all.
